What is Chinese Cupping?
Chinese Cupping, a type of therapy in which a method of applying acupressure by creating a vacuum on the patient's skin with a glass, bamboo or plastic "cup". The therapy is used to promote healthy blood circulation, thereby improving the flow of Qi. Cupping therapy has been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, alleviate pain, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins. Cupping is most commonly used on back, neck, shoulder and other musculoskeletal conditions.
